Dolgellau is a small stone-built market town at the foot of the Cader Idris in south Snowdonia. Much of the town centre is a designated conservation area with many listed stone buildings of architectural interest. Aber Cottage, shown in this picture, is a typical example of this stone architecture. It was built in the 19th century and was formally three cottages. Aber Cottage is renowned for its hospitality and good food. If you are lucky, you might even find accommodation in the cottage for one or more nights. All pictures here are copyright material.
