One of the imposing lions guarding the Brunswick Monument. The Duke of Brunswick died in Geneva in 1873. He left the city a large sum of money. One of the terms of his will stipulated that the city was to build a mausoleum in an eminent and worthy location without consideration of cost. All pictures here are copyright material.
